Friday, 20 November

Friday marked the end of YesEvent 2015. There was the official closing ceremony where all the delegations received certificates of this years' event. The students filled in the feedback form said a warm goodbye to the friends they made during the week. The event gave the participants new insight into the issues regarding immigration and integration in other European countries and the opportunity to introduce their own country through presentations, discussions, group work activities and culture.

Thursday, 19 November

The day started in international group. Each group had to choose an aspect from Tuesday's discussion (SWOT analysis) and create a short stop-motion video about it. This was a creative task which allowed every group a lot of freedom to decide which props to use and what kind of an approach to take.

The only requirement was that the video clip should explain the essence of the issue. After three hours of hard work, the clips were presented in the main hall to the other groups.

In the evening, the delegates with their host families gathered in the cafeteria of GAG for the international buffet. Each student had, together with their hosts, prepared a national dish to represent their country. Each country was given their own table to present these dishes.

The day ended with each national group giving a short performance, ranging from national dances to comedy sketches.

Wednesday, 18 November

The day started at Gustav Adolf Grammar School where delegations visited the school museum and participated in an introductory lesson to stop-motion videos.

The day continued with a visit to the Estonian Parliament, where the delegates had the opportunity to meet the Speaker of the Parliament Eiki Nestor and an MP Mihkel Raud, who gave their views on the issue of integration and immigration and answered questions from the audience (Nestor kohtus rahvusvahelise sündmuse YesEvent Noortega). After that, the delegates were given a tour round the parliament building and climbed to the top of Pikk Hermann.

After lunch, student of Gustav Adolf Grammar School gave delegates an hour-and-a-half-long tour of the Old Town.

Tuesday, 17 November

The delegates were given a warm welcome at Tallinna Linnamäe Vene Lütseum. The day started with presentations on the topic of the conference - Immigration And Integration. Each country talked about the past, present and future of their country with respect to immigration and integration.

These presentations were followed by another round in national groups, where the delegates analysed what they had heard with the help of handouts.

Next, participants were divided into 8 international groups where, under the supervision of teachers, they had to discuss and carry out a SWOT analysis on a specific sub-topic related to immigration and integration. The results of the SWOT analyses were presented at the end of the day.

The students of Tallinna Linnamäe Vene Lütseum listened to the presentations and were involved in the discussions and carrying out the SWOT analysis.
